World Sight Day

Darine Dizon, Staff Writer

October 10th is World Sight Day. This event was made in 2000, by the SightFirstCampaign of Lions Club International Foundation. There are different degrees of blindness, even if they are legally blind. Someone legally blind can still see colors, shapes, and varying degrees of light. In fact, only 10 to 15 percent of people who are blind see nothing at all. Eighty percent of vision problems can either be cured or avoided with medical care and regular eye examinations.
