Clark Hartman, Staff Writer

Last year over Winter break, the latest Star Wars movie came out with the return of the director of Episode VII, JJ Abrams. The return of familiar voices shook the internet and when it was revealed white was the movie it shook us even more. The long running feud between the light and the dark, the Sith and the Jedi, the First Order and the Rebellion came to  this trilogy’s conclusion.

The return of past foes was thrown around even before episode IX, director of episode VII JJ Abrams said in an interview “…there were discussions about that [Palpatine’s return] at the time. Yet, like any beginning, you want to put the threads in, but you don’t want to necessarily be literal about everything. And then when Rian [Johnson] was brought on to do The Last Jedi, we met and we talked about things and he wrote his story. And when I read the script, I realized this didn’t get in the way of anything Larry [Kasdan] and I talked about that I thought I’d get to. There were some very specific things we did get to do in this movie [The Rise of Skywalker] that we were laughing and going, ‘Oh my god, we’re finally doing that thing we talked about five years ago.’” (JJ Abrams, source, interview).

Secrets of the past will be unveiled and sides will b chosen. Foes and allies will return from the past. The epic conclusion to this trilogy will finally unveil. Watch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker for more on this topic.
