A massive earthquake hit parts of Mexico and Guatemala early Friday morning. The earthquake hit the coast of southwestern Mexico. It was a shallow quake with a magnitude of 8.1 and and depths of 69.7 kilometers (43 miles). People felt the earthquake as far away as Mexico City, more than 600 miles from the epicenter. There’s been reports of  destruction, including buildings with fallen roofs. The earthquake also  triggered a small tsunami. Ninety people are comfirmed to be dead. They’re still searching for survivors.  Chiapas had the most damage. Houses were destroyed and a lot of people died.
