One of the most surprising breakout successes of 2017 is the free-to-play online multiplayer shooter game that took the world by surprise late last year, Fortnite. In this game, you drop to a location on a map and collect weapons to eliminate other players. It’s rated T for teenagers but there is no blood or gore in it. It was updated to version 2.2.0 on Thursday Jan 18 morning to balance changes and add some bug fixes, including the long awaited map update, which adds new locations to the island and introduces biomes to liven the island up. For example, you could be in a forest with so many trees and so much loot.  The map has been restructured on the western side, adding new cities like Tilted Towers, and there are new underground mines, Shifty Shafts, which are cool additions to the map.

There’s a new mode coming up in the game called “Save the World,” it’ll be free to all players around Valentine’s Day or later in the year. The developers of Fortnite said, “We haven’t figured out when this year we’ll be making it free. There are a few more things that we need to test, especially with our ability to maintain and restore our backend data. When we’re free, there are going to be tons of people inside the system.” I can’t wait until Save the World game mode will be free. If not,
