Daylight Saving

In the fall, daylight saving time will end. So, don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour. Remember that in the spring, you lost an hour of sleep?  Be happy, because in the fall, you will gain an hour of sleep. In the year of 2018, daylight saving time started on Sunday, March 11th, and will end on this Sunday, November 4th. Remember, when daylight saving time ends, we will gain an extra hour in the afternoon.

On March 19, 1918, the act of trying to preserve daylight and provide standard time for the U.S. was enabled. This, however, was not when daylight savings started. Daylight saving time, or “summer time” in most parts of the world, started on January 6, 1974, when all clocks were set ahead one hour. Since November 5th is looming closer and  closer, this means that everyone will get an extra hour of sleep. Enjoy your sleep!
