Spelling Bee

Sage Lee, Writer

On November 7th, the school’s spelling bee will start. Since it is a competition, there are some awards available. Mrs. Harris is promising that any student attending the spelling bee in her class will get 20 extra credit points. For the school, the third place winner will earn 20 dollars, the second place winner will earn 30 dollars, and finally, the first place winner will earn 50 dollars.

During this time, students will be taken out of class to go attend the spelling bee. You will be excused from your class, but you will be responsible for any work you miss. There will be 12 finalists from the school spelling bee who will participate in the District Spelling Bee on November 29th. Students who win the District Spelling Bee will qualify to the County level. Good luck to the students who will be participating!
