Ricardo Simon, writer

On November 26, 2018 at 12:02 AM, NASA confirmed that the InSight lander  successfully landed on Mars. Did you know before the InSight landed, it was going through a time called the  7 minutes of terror? The reason why its called that is because when the  goes through the atmosphere of Mars, we lose contact with it for 7 minutes, this happen every time we make any spacecraft go through a planet’s atmosphere. So that means, we didn’t known for 7 minutes if the InSight made it through the atmosphere or it was destroyed. If we failed, it would have been a loss of a billion dollars! Lucky for us, it made it. It was a successful mission, now it will start digging and exploring the planet Mars. It measure the ground movements, even very small movement. This information will lead us into the future and let us send people and maybe even we might be able to live on Mars!
