On January 21, 2017, the day after President Donald Trump’s inauguration, a worldwide protest was born. Now an annual international event, the Women’s March has more than 3 million people participating. People participate in the Women’s March are advocating for women rights and for other marginalized communities. The Women’s March is a peaceful protest, which means no violence is involved.  According to the Women’s March organization website, “The Women’s March exists to fight bigotry and discrimination in all their forms — including homophobia and anti-semitism — and to lift up the voices of women who are too often left out. We believe in a world where women from all backgrounds are equally represented in government, media, politics, and everywhere and invite everyone who shares these values to join us.”

Some locations in California that will be hosting the Women’s March is Los Angeles, Santa Ana, Redando Beach, and Riverside. If you’re planning to attend this event it will start at 10 AM, on January 19, 2019 and certain locations will have guest speakers.
