Spring is almost here! The Spring Equinox will occur on March 20th of this year, and it marks the end of winter and the beginning of spring. An equinox is when the sun crosses the equator from south to north, and the length of day and night will be approximately the same in all parts of the world. That is, approximately 12 hours of daylight and about 12 hours of nightfall. During this time, many people like to visit the pyramid of Kukulcan in Chichén Itza, Mexico. During the equinox, the pyramid casts a shadow of a long rattlesnake, joined by the serpent head at the bottom of the pyramid. Alongside the pyramid, the spring equinox is celebrated as a time of renewal, so you can renew your mind for a fresh start. Happy Spring Equinox!
