April is the fourth month of the year, full of blossoms and growth in the Northern Hemisphere and autumn for the Southern Hemisphere. Here are 4 cool facts for the month of April!

1. Aphrodite

In the Roman calendar, the month of April is spelled as Aprilis, which means “to open.” It was named after the Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite, and fits perfectly in our calendar, since April is the month where flowers start blooming.

2. Zodiac Signs

There are two zodiac signs that fall in the month of April. If you are born from March 21st through April 19th, you are known as the sign of Aries. Those born from April 20th to May 20th are Taurus the Bull.

3. Flowers

Two flowers signify April, and those are the daisies and the sweet peas. The daisy symbolizes purity, innocence, and loyal love, but on the other hand, the sweet peas signify blissful pleasure. Nonetheless, these flowers are April’s honorary flowers.

4. April’s birth stone

People born in April have the birthstone of a diamond, one of the hardest substances on earth. They are said to have brought benefits, such as experiencing better relationships and increasing in inner strength.
